Comic: Troublesome Terrain

This week, I decided to try something I had not attempted in a long time: a comic page.  I used to draw some comic pages for fun when I was younger, mainly inspired by series like Peanuts, or Garfield, or Calvin and Hobbes.  Of course, if I tried to make jokes I read from those comics, I seemed to miss the point, so I cannot say my older comics were very good.  Still, it is a neat application for artwork, so I may try my hand at them occasionally.

I wanted to practice at comics in case I ever decided to travel that route, but I did not want to try something too big yet.  Therefore, this week, I decided to finally draw out a Pokemon comic I had in my head for a while.  If you want to know what inspired this, click below, but for now...

You may notice that of all games in the series, I picked Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.  Why is that?  Part of it was that, despite popular fan opinion, I actually like these ones in particular.  Platinum might even be my favorite version of the game yet.  I understand that it has some issues, but I really liked a lot of the new Pokemon introduced in those ones, and I liked how diverse much of that region's landscape was, even if there were some annoying sections to it.

That should probably be all I say about this one.  As the Joker once said, "If you have to explain the joke, then there is no joke."  Maybe you understand it, maybe you missed it.  I would like to try my hand at more comics in the future, especially now that I have downloaded an appropriate font for them.
